What we treat, and how
Most programs make you choose between a rehab, a therapist and a doctor. Aura puts the medical wing and the behavioral wing in the same building, on the same chart, so your physician and your clinician are actually talking to each other.

Why Aura is different
- Physician-led, not therapist-only
- An MD oversees both the medical and behavioral side. Medication, labs and physical health are managed in-house instead of referred out.
- Licensed as one integrated facility
- In 2026 New Jersey created a single license (N.J.A.C. 8:43K) for facilities that deliver behavioral and physical health care together. Aura is being built and licensed to that standard from the start.
- The step between rehab and weekly therapy
- IOP and Partial Care for adults coming out of inpatient treatment, or who need more than a weekly session but don't need to live on site.
- Private, and designed to feel that way
- A single-story building with its own parking, separate check-in and check-out, and rooms designed by a hospitality team rather than a hospital planner.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is typically 9–12 hours of programming per week — usually 3 hours per session, 3 days a week. Partial Care (the NJ equivalent of PHP-level care) is a higher intensity: typically 20+ hours per week across 5 days. Both are outpatient — patients live at home — but Partial Care provides more structure and clinical support for patients stepping down from inpatient or requiring more than IOP can offer.
IOP is planned for 9–12 hours per week (three ~3-hour sessions). Partial Care is planned for 20+ hours per week across 5 days. Exact schedules will be published closer to opening.
Yes — transportation will be provided for Partial Care participants within the service area. Details on eligible zip codes and pickup logistics will be shared with enrolled patients.
Yes. Aura Medical will offer physician-led medication management, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders and psychiatric medication management for co-occurring conditions.
